Caring Spirit/Dream Big

Our 2013 Dream Big event on April 10 drew over 300 guests to the Children’s Museum as we celebrated caring spirits, big dreams and education innovation. Tom Cebulko, Teachers’ Treasures board president, served as honorary co-chair and emcee.

The Caring Spirit Award is given each year to recognize an individual for their outstanding commitment to improving educational opportunities for children in the community. The spirit of this award ties directly to the mission of Teachers’ Treasures, which is to help at-risk students get the supplies they need to succeed in school by providing teachers with donated educational materials for use by the students in their classroom.

In recognition of his excellence and outstanding commitment to improving educational opportunity, the 2013 Caring Spirit Award Winner is Dr. Woodrow Myers! Congratulations!

Congratulations to Natalie Unger, the 2013 Phyllis Imel Teacher of the Year!

We also recognized Bob Moeder upon his retirement as President of Kroger Central Division. Bob received an Award of Appreciation for his many years of Going Above and Beyond in support of the Teachers’ Treasures program. Thank you, Bob!
