Herff Jones Gallery of Excellence
The artwork shown here was created in the fall of 2010 by local students from materials donated to Teachers’ Treasures. The 4′ x 4′ canvas pieces were put on display in the Herff Jones Gallery of Excellence located in the Teachers’ Treasures store until they were auctioned in the Spring at our annual fundraiser.
The purpose of the gallery is to exhibit the exemplary talent of the students in our schools while also drawing attention to the need that exists for the donation of art materials. These are materials that are needed to support the development of young artists but often do not come to mind when thinking of “school supply” donations.
ARTWORK SOLD IN SILENT AUCTION – May 11th
To raise funds in support of Teachers’ Treasures all of the artwork was sold in a silent auction at our Caring Spirit Luncheon on May 11, 2011. The event was a wonderful success raising over $40,000 for Teachers’ Treasures. We want to thank the students of Pike High School and Providence Christo Rey for their contributions.
